With the ICC Men’s World Cup 2023 set to begin on October 5 and hosted by India, the first match of the tournament between England and New Zealand is scheduled to be played at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. On winning the toss New Zealand Chose to bowl first. Bairstow and Malan opened the innings for England while Trent Boult opened the attack. England’s Joe Root was impressive as he scored 77 runs after the dismissal of Malan by Matt Henry.
