Former chief selector Kiran More feels MS Dhoni is still in fit and form for the upcoming International tours. Dhoni keeps quit on controversies regarding his retirement which arises after BCCI exclude his name from the Central contracted players of the current year.
After the world cup 2019 semifinals where India lose to New Zealand, former skipper made himself unavailable for the upcoming series at that time. After a lot of hurdles Dhoni expected to make his return through the IPL 2020.
Earlier former Indian cricketer Sehwag and Australian bowler Brad Hogg throws their view on Dhoni’s possible return to Indian squad for T20 world cup. Sunil Gavaskar too insist Dhoni to retire from the cricket.
He was fit, I saw him in the nets
However, former chief selector Kiran More has expressed his thoughts about Dhoni’s future, claiming that the former Indian skipper looked fit while practising.
“It’s very difficult, it’s his call. It’s going to be tough, not going to be easy. Mind says you want to, but the body does not allow. Before IPL, he was fit, I saw him in the nets, he was raring to go,” Kiran More was quoted as saying by multiple outlets.
“In tennis, guys of 34, 39 are on top of their game. Now if you are disciplined, if you keep your mind and body strong you can make a comeback. Ashish Nehra made a comeback and did very well,” he added.
