During the Australia tour of India 2023, 4 Tests and 3 ODI matches will be played between February 9 to March 22.

The 3rd Test match of the series is scheduled to play between March 1 to 5 at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala but owing to the natural conditions BCCI shites the match to Holkar Stadium, Indore.

Regarding the announcement, the BCCI statement reads, “The third Test of the Mastercard Australia tour of India for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, originally scheduled to take place at the HPCA Stadium, Dharamsala from 1st to 5th March has now been moved to Holkar Stadium, Indore.

Owing to harsh winter conditions in the region, the outfield lacks sufficient grass density and will need some time to develop fully”.

India leads the 4-match Test series with a victory in the first Test. India beats the visitors by an innings and 132 runs. Jadeja who won the player of the match award for his crucial performance has been fined 25 per cent of the match fee for breaching the ICC code of conduct.

Along with the fine, Jadeja will receive one demerit point for applying pain relief cream on his left index finger for swelling without the umpire’s permission during the first innings. Before the explanation, Jadeja’s move has been questioned for ball tampering for which Indian management explained the reason.

The second Test match will be played on February 17 in Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi.
