Hardik Pandya has dismissed the wickets of Marco Jansen and Shahbaz Ahmed during the 16th over of the IPL 2024 match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 06 at Wankhede Stadium.
After an underwhelming performance in the tournament so far, Hardik Pandya made a comeback and picked three wickets on Monday’s clash. He bowled four overs conceding 31 runs with an economy of 7.80.
Mumbai has suffered back-to-back defeats in the ongoing tournament as they had only three victories out of 11 matches they played. They missed the chances for playoffs but eyeing a victory in their clash against Hyderabad.

Coming to the match, Mumbai Indians won the toss and opted to bowl. Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma opened the innings where the latter was sent out for 11 runs by Bumrah.
Anshul Kamboj bagged his first wicket for MI as he dismissed Mayank Agarwal for 5 runs. Chawla bagged with wicket of Travis Head before reaching fifty. He smashed 48 runs on 30 deliveries. Nitish Reddy scored 20 runs on 15 deliveries while Marco Jansen scored 17 runs before being dismissed by Hardik Pandya.
With the dismissal of Shahbaz Ahmed, SRH was down to the last four wickets scoring 120 runs in the 16th over. Chawla picked the wicket of Abdul Samad for 3 runs.
Pat Cummins helped the side to get revived from the dismissals as he scored 35* runs in 17 deliveries helping the side to set a score of 173 runs against MI in 20 overs.
With the target of 174 runs, MI started their inning where the top order was entirely collapsed by SRH bowlers. Rohit Sharma was sent out with 4 runs while Ishan Kishan was sent out with 9 runs.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar bagged the wicket of Naman Dhir for a duck. With the dismissal of Naman, Mumbai Indians lost three wickets for 31 runs in the fifth over.
Suryakumar and Tilak Varma joined hands helping the side from early dismissals. Their partnership helped the side to cross the 100-run mark in the encounter against Hyderabad. Suryakumar Yadav smashed his fifty in the 13th over of the match and in the pursuit of smashing 100 in the match.
He smashed 102 runs in 51 deliveries while Tilak Varma scored 37 runs on 32 deliveries helping the side to win the match in the 18th over of the match.
