WPL 2024 Auction Live Streaming: The Women’s Premier League 2024 Auction is scheduled to take place on December 9 in Mumbai.
The first season was played in March 2023 where the Mumbai Indians won the title by beating Delhi Capitals in the WPL 2023 Final.
In WPL 2023, a total of five teams played against each other in a double round-robin format, where the three teams finished with the most points entered the playoff stages of the competition.
WPL 2024 Auction Live Streaming
WPL 2024 Auction Live Streaming: A total of 60 players including 21 overseas cricketers were retained across five playing teams while 29 players were released from their existing squads.
A total of 165 cricketers will undergo the hammer during the auction event. Out of 165 players, 104 are Indians and 61 are overseas players of which 15 players are from associate nations. The total capped players are 56, uncapped players are 109.
As per a report, an additional purse of INR 1.5 crore (approx. US $180,228) will be available to each of the five teams in addition to the balance amount left from the last auction as well as from player releases.
The WPL 2024 Auction will be live-streamed in Jio Cinema and Sports 18 from 2 PM IST onwards.

Only Viacom18 and Disney Star bid for the media rights of WPL. Viacom’s INR 951 crore bid defeats Star’s bid of INR 98 crore (only digital).
Viacom 18 had also secured the digital rights of the men’s IPL for the subcontinent region (for INR 23,757.5 crore or USD 3.04 billion) and both the TV and digital rights across three global regions – Australia + New Zealand, the UK and South Africa – (for INR 1058 crore or USD 135.49 million) last June.

WPL 2024 Purse Remaining For All Teams: Gujarat Giants will enter the Women’s Premier League 2024 Auction with the highest purse value of INR 5.95 crores while Mumbai Indians will enter the auction with the lowest purse value of INR 2.1 crores.
