India is scheduled to play against Bangladesh on October 19 at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium. Indian side have won all three of their previous games in the ICC event and tops the table with highest net run rate, while Bangladesh have won only one match out of three.

Recently the Australian player Usman Khawaja praised Virat Kohli for his cenutries in ODIs and suggested that he is better than cricket Legend Sachin Tendulkar in ODI records.

Virat Kohli had already registered two fifties in India’s first two matches. In the match against Australia, it was Kohli who took a solid stand with KL Rahul after the fall of three top-order batsmen to ensure victory for the side.

Virat Kohli has scored 13239 runs in 284 ODIs with 47 centuries. He has amassed 156 runs in the World Cup 2023.

On this occasion, the Bangladesh cricketer Shakib Al Hasan spoke about the aggressive batter Virat Kohli’s wicket on the pre match conference. He stated that he had dismissed Kohli five times in International Cricket and wishes to dismiss him again.

“He’s a special batsman, probably the best batsman in the modern era. I think I’m lucky to get him out 5 times. Of course, it will give me great pleasure, taking his wicket,” said Shakib on press conference.

On the Other hand, Virat Kohli also lauded the Bangladesh Captain Shakib Al Hasan for his bowling skills and his experience which makes him a valuable asset for Bangladesh.

He spoke about the qualities of the skipper ahead of their match at ICC Men’s World Cup 2023.

“Over the years, I’ve played a lot against him. He’s got amazing control. He’s a very experienced bowler. He bowls very well with the new ball, knows how to deceive the batsman, and is also very economical. You have to play your best against all these bowlers, and if you aren’t able to, these bowlers are able to create pressure and increase the chances of getting you out,” said Kohli.

He added that in a tournament like World Cup, there are no big teams and as well as no weak teams. When the players start focusing on the bigger teams, there will be negative results on the match.

“There are no big teams in the World Cup. Whenever you start focusing only on bigger teams, an upset happens,” the former India captain added.

The Bangladesh Captain Shakib have sustained a quad injury during the match against New Zealand and somehow returned to the nets. With the return the side feels some relief before the match against the hosts India.
