Former India player Venkatesh Prasad slams India and highlights that India has never won a T20I World Cup since the beginning of the IPL tournament.
India won the ICC T20 World Cup in 2007 under MS Dhoni and still waits to lift their second title. Notably, BCCI launched the IPL in 2008 which also follows the T20 format.

Indian cricket team was scheduled to play 3 match ODI series during their Bangladesh tour of 2022. Rohit Sharma led the Indian ODI squad have failed to defeat Bangladesh in the must-win match on December 7.
After a heartbreaking defeat in the 2nd ODI match, team India lost the 3-match series as they already lost the first match by just 1 wicket. Following their series loss, team India received tons of negative comments particularly the Indian head coach Rahul Dravid has been thrashed by netizens.
Following the continuous failures in the international series, BCCI is in discussion of appointing a new coach and separate captain for the Indian T20I squad.
“India is innovating in so many fields across the world. But when it comes to playing Limited overs cricket, our approach is a decade old,” Prasad wrote in a series of tweets.

“And change approach drastically. We haven’t won a T20 WC since the IPL started & last 5 years have been poor in ODI’s apart from winning inconsequential bilateral. Haven’t learned from our mistakes for too long and far from being an exciting team in limited-overs cricket. CHANGE,” he added.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma injured his thumb while fielding in the 2nd ODI and left the field in middle. In addition to him, Deepak Chahar sustained a left hamstring strain and Kuldeep Sen was hit with stiffness back.
Post missing 3 players, BCCI named Kuldeep Yadav in India’s squad for the 3rd ODI against Bangladesh. India will play their last match of the 3-match ODI series on December 10 in Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram.
