Pakistan pace bowler Naseem Shah has been ruled out of the 3rd Test match against England on December 17.

During the England tour of Pakistan 2022, both teams are scheduled to play 7 T20Is and 3 Tests which remains a part of the ongoing ICC WTC 2023. Host Pakistan fails to register a victory in both the series at home against England.

Ben Stokes led England created history by defeating Pakistan in the first two tests. England made a record-breaking start by defeating Pakistan by 74 runs in the 1st Test and went on beat Pakistan by 23 runs in the 2nd Test.

“A niggle in the bowling shoulder has ruled out Naseem from the third and final Test in Karachi,” the Pakistan Cricket Board said in a news release.

Pakistan are facing their first-ever 3-0 Test series loss at home after also losing the first Test in Rawalpindi by 74 runs.

With the series defeat, the Pakistan cricket team are now out for the WTC 2023 Final spot race. With the Pakistan Test series victory, England registered their 8th win in Test cricket out of the last 9 series since McCullum and Stokes took over the England Test responsibilities.

The team has been jolted by injuries to its fast bowlers, with spearhead Shaheen Shah Afridi ruled out before the start of the series with a knee injury.

Haris Rauf was also ruled out of the last two Tests with a quadriceps injury suffered during the first match. The final Test match of the series will be played on December 17 – December 21 in National Stadium, Karachi.
