South African pace sensation Nandre Burger joins Seattle Orcas for the upcoming Major League Cricket (MLC) 2024 which begins on July 4.
The second edition of the Major League Cricket is scheduled to kickstart on July 4, 2024. The 2024 Major League Cricket domestic players’ draft was hosted on March 21, 2024 ahead of the season. A total of 20 players were selected last night to round out the six team’s minimum domestic player requirement.
The South African-born cricketer made his international debut in all three formats of cricket – T20I, ODI, and Test – within 13 days against India in December 2023. Following his impressive performance in his debut, CSA awarded him with the national contract for the 2024-25 season.
During the IPL 2024 Players’ Auction, Rajasthan Royals roped Nandre Burger for INR 50 Lakh.
Ahead of the Major League Cricket (MLC) 2024, Orcas roped South African pacer Nandre Burger under direct signing. His countrymates – Quinton de Kock, Heinrich Klaasen and Wayne Parnell will also join him for the season.
Notably, Wayne Parnell will lead the team in the Major League Cricket (MLC) 2024 season.

Nandre Burger so far played 1 Test, 3 ODIs and 1 T20I for South Africa and bagged 7, 5 and 1 wickets respectively. On the other hand, Burger played 61 T20s and bagged 72 wickets at an economy of 7.47 with the best of 3/11.
