The Proteas Women Cricketer Kapp was ruled out for the One-Off Test during the South Africa Women’s Tour of Australia 2024.
Marizanne Kapp Ruled out for Australia One-Off Test
The Proteas Women has suffered a major setback with Marizanne Kapp ruled out for the One Off Test. After suffering defeat in the ODI and T20I series, the South African women are looking forward to clinching a victory on Australian soil.
Kapp was absent during the training session and the side assured that she would be available for the selection. However, the South African star was absent during Thursday morning’s team photoshoot and Warmups.
South Africa Women captain Laura Wolvaardt said “Kappie is not very well … (it’s a) very big loss for us.”
Meanwhile, Australia had made two changes in the Playing 11 in the squad played against India at Wankhede Stadium.
“We’re chock full of allrounders, which is awesome,” Healy said. “Molineux has just slotted back in really easily … she looks in a great place with her cricket at the moment.”
Winning the toss, Australia chose to bowl where South Africa suffered early dismissals. Darcie Brown and Will Sutherland dismissed two batters each creating havoc in the Proteas Women’s batting lineup.
Brown dismissed Wolvaardt and Anneke Bosch for 4 and 0 respectively while Sutherland dismissed Tazmin Brits and Delmi Tucker. The latter was sent out on a golden duck on the last ball of the 16th over.
