The men in blues lost wickets at regular intervals which showed the dominance of Australia bowlers in the field. Mahli Beardman and Rafael dismissed three batters each. Finally, India scored only 174 runs losing all wickets in the 44th over.

India’s u-19 team came to the finals maintaining an unbeaten streak of 6 matches in the tournament just like the senior team. Meanwhile, Australia had five victories out of six matches in the tournament and completed the match against West Indies with no result.

While speaking in the post-match interview, Uday Sharan said, “I’m proud of the boys, they played really well. Showed good fighting spirit throughout the tournament.”

“We played a few rash shots today, didn’t spend time in the middle. We were prepared but couldn’t execute the plans. Lots of learnings from this tournament learned a lot from the support staff and even during the games. We will try to keep learning and getting better,” he concluded.

India is the most successful team in U-19 World Cup history with five wins while Australia rivals India with four victories including the 2024 edition triumph.
