Jake Fraser-McGurk Joins Delhi Capitals For IPL 2024
The South African pacer pulled out of the Indian Premier League 2024 owing to an injury. Ahead of the IPL 2024 Auction, Delhi Capitals retained Lungi Ngidi who played 14 IPL matches and has 25 wickets under his belt.
The Australian-born all-rounder Jake Fraser-McGurk will join the team for INR 50 Lakhs.
BCCI made an official announcement regarding his replacement which reads “Delhi Capitals (DC) named all-rounder Jake Fraser-McGurk as replacement for Lungisani Ngidi for the upcoming edition of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.
Ngidi, who has played 14 IPL matches and has 25 wickets against his name, was ruled out of the TATA IPL 2024 due to injury.
Jake Fraser-McGurk has played 2 ODIs for Australia. He joins DC for his reserve price of INR 50 Lac”.
Lungi Ngidi was not the first player to withdraw from the upcoming IPL 2024 season. Prior to him, players including Jason Roy, Harry Brook and many others have done the same for various reasons.

As of the IPL 2024 schedule, Delhi Capitals will play their first match of the season against Punjab Kings on March 23 in Mohali.
