Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja who has been ruled out of the IPL 2022 owing to an injury, was unfollowed by the franchise on their Instagram handle.

CSK all-rounder who recently lost the captain crown was injured in CSK’s league match against RCB on May 4.
The incident happened during the 18th over of RCB’s inning, as Mahipal Lomror was trying to accelerate, he tried to go for a big shot. Jadeja who has been fielding near deep extra cover came running towards the ball and tried to complete the catch.
However, due to the momentum, the ball seemed to bounce out of his hands, and Jadeja took an awkward fall on the turf.
After physios took a look at him, the former CSK captain looked okay to continue. RCB scored 173 run for 8 wickets loss at the end of the 1st innings. But CSK struggled to reach the target as their middle and lower order players including MS Dhoni and Jadeja failed to score the required run.
CSK lost the match by 13 runs and registered their 7th loss of the IPL 2022 season.
In CSK’s followed league match against Delhi Capitals Jadeja has been benched while Shivam Dube makes way into the playing 11. Notably, CSK went on to win the match with a massive run difference and registered their 4th victory of the season.
Yesterday CSK made an official announcement that Jadeja has been ruled out of the season owing to an injury.
“Ravindra Jadeja reported a bruised rib and was unavailable for Chennai Super Kings’ game against Delhi Capitals on Sunday. He was under observation and based on medical advice he has been ruled out for the rest of the IPL season,” said an official statement from CSK.
In IPL 2022, Jadeja scored 116 runs in ten innings at an average of 19.33 and a strike rate of 118.36. With the ball, he has five wickets from 33 overs at an average of nearly 50.
Ruling out of the tournament owing to an injury is not a complex thing in crickety but the all-rounder’s sudden departure and being unfollowed sparked rumours of a rift with the franchise.
Unfollowing a ruled-out player is not a common thing, Chennai Super Kings’ Instagram handle unfollowed Jadeja soon after he left the bubble.
Though none of the CSK officials gave a clear explanation, as per a report CSK CEO said, “Ravindra Jadeja firmly remains in the CSK’s scheme of things for the future, always. I have no knowledge of what is going on in Social Media, I’m not aware”.

These confusions among the CSK management and Jadeja has given more options for fans to create a lot of controversies.
“CSK management & dhoni played cheap politics with #Jadeja first dhoni made him scapegoat captain to blamed for worst season, then sacked him from captain in just 8 matches, then Dhoni criticised his captaincy, then #CSK unfollowed him & now sacked from IPL BEST PLAYER but insulted,” wrote a user on Twitter.
“Something had been brewing for sometimes and that could be the reason of his relinquishing the captaincy. And Jadeja was not in his natural self. And then news of his injury came….looks a mystery,” wrote another user.
