Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been an integral part of Sunriseres Hyderabad since joint the squad in 2014. With KKR and SRH set to play in the third match of the IPL 2024 schedule, he is on the edge of achieving 150 wickets for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
If he achieves it, he will become the first Indian bowler to achieve the feat for a single franchise in the league. Only Lasith Malinga and Sunil Narine have taken 150 wickets for a single team in the Indian Premier League.
Senior Pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be seen in action for Sunrisers Hyderabad while they take on Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 23 in the 3rd match of the campaign. He has picked up 146 wickets in the 129 IPL matches he played for the franchise.
Recently Pat Cummins was named as SRH captain replacing Aiden Markram. He joined the squad for INR 20.50 crores which is one of the expensive buys in the IPL 2024 auction. On the other hand, KKR will be welcoming Shreyas Iyer to the squad after missing the IPL 2023 season due to a back injury.
Mitchell Starc joined the KKR squad during the mini-auction in Dubai for INR 24.75 crores which is one of the most expensive buys in IPL history. He is set to join KKR after a long wait.
While speaking to CA, Starc recalled his memories from the IPL 2014 and 2015 seasons stating, “It’s been eight years, I think. Back to KKR where I was supposed to be in 2018. So I’ll be back there for the chance to pull on the gold and purple.”
