Kane Williamson Replacement in IPL 2023: Gujarat Titas roped Kane Williamson at his base price in the IPL 2023 Auction after SRH released him. Gujarat Titans played their season-opening match against Chennai Super Kings and went on to win the match by 5 wickets.
During the 13th over, Kane Williamson injured himself while attempting to catch at the boundary rope. Williamson attempted a catch on the boundary line and hurts his knees while landing on the field. He leaves the field immediately and Sai Sudharsan replaced him as an impact player.

Gujarat Titans have named Sri Lankan Allrounder Dasun Shanaka as the replacement player for the former SRH captain. Shanaka was on fire in the recent T20I series in India, smashing 124 runs in three innings at an S/R of 187 while averaging 62.00. He was also Sri Lanka’s leading run-scorer in the subsequent ODI series, scoring 121 runs in three innings.
Defending champions Gujarat Titans have signed Dasun Shanaka at his base price of INR 50 Lakhs.
