PBKS vs RR Probable Playing 11: Punjab Kings will lock horns with Rajasthan Royals on April 13 at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium.
After securing two victories in the IPL 2024 campaign, Punjab Kings will be hosting table toppers Rajasthan Royals on Saturday clash. Punjab Kings secured victory against Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Titans but suffered defeat in the matches against Royal Challengers Bangalore, Lucknow Super Giants, and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
On the other hand, Rajasthan has been running a successful campaign with four victories in five matches they played. Rajasthan Royals secured victory against Lucknow Super Giants, Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians, and Royal Challengers Bangalore, but suffered a defeat in the match against Gujarat Titans on April 10.
“He’s in a positive mindset. We want him to take wickets for us. The other night he started well. His mindset is very positive, he is a wicket-taker for us.”
“On the night, someone’s not going to perform [as well] but I felt the other night he was on song for us, he started well. He hit the intensity, and I won’t be worried about him,” said Charl Langeveldt.
“Winning at home is very crucial in terms of reaching the next stage of qualification and I think we’ve done that relatively well. There’s still a lot more cricket to go… But also, having said that, winning at home you also still need to make sure you get the results on the road.”
“But I think with the quick turnarounds and stuff, it’s just about being mentally fresh and recovered and doing your analysis work. I think the beauty of it is the amount of local talent that we have within our squad and being exposed to various conditions.”
“Hopefully we can rely on that knowledge and combat teams in their home conditions,” said Keshav Maharaj.
Despite their defeat against Gujarat Titans, Rajasthan Royals tops the points table while Punjab Kings secured 8th position in the IPL 2024 points table.
