Cricket enthusiasts on Thursday witnessed a similar event as Dhawan and Dinesh Karthik combined to pull one of the most hilarious banter of the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League in the DC vs KKR league match.
Dhawan and Dinesh Karthik involves in friendly banter
On Thursday, April 29, the southpaw scored 46 off 47 balls against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. In the meantime, he and Dinesh Karthik were involved in a moment of theatrics. In the 12th over of DC’s run-chase, Karthik made a loud stumping appeal to get rid of Dhawan. Varun Chakravarthy bowled a wide after which the appeal was made.
Replays showed that Dhawan never lifted his foot off the ground. During the appeal, Karthik was seen pointing fingers at the southpaw. In reply, Dhawan threw an amusing reaction. The video of the same has garnered a lot of popularity on social media.

Axar Patel and Lalit Yadav took two wickets each as Kolkata Knight Riders were restricted to 154/6. Shubman Gill scored 43 to anchor their innings, and then, despite a mini-collapse in the middle, Andre Russell smashed an unbeaten 45 off 27 deliveries to take KKR to a respectable total.
Dhawan’s opening partner Prithvi Shaw then got DC off to the perfect start, smashing six fours in the very first over of their chase. The openers put on 132 for the first wicket to finish KKR’s hopes of defending the modest total.
Shaw made an impressive 18 balls half-century which boosts DC to secure their victory against the KKR.
The southpaw is currently the Orange Cap holder as he has notched 311 runs from seven games at an average and strike rate of 44.42 and 131.77 respectively. He also has two fifties along with a top score of 92 against the Punjab Kings (PBKS).
