2 New IPL teams in 2022 Name: BCCI announced that it would add new two teams to the existing 8 teams in the Indian Premier League. Right after the IPL 2021 where Chennai Super Kings won their 4th IPL trophy, BCCI announced that it would extend the deadline for the new team’s auction registration.
BCCI reports suggest that on October 25, 2021, the auction for the new teams will be hosted and the owners of the new 2 teams will be announced the same day.
