    • He made his List A debut for Saurashtra in the 2017–18 Vijay Hazare Trophy on 22 February 2018.
    • He made his first-class debut for Saurashtra in the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy on 20 November 2018, taking a five-wicket haul in the first innings.
    • He made his Twenty20 debut for Saurashtra in the 2018–19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on 21 February 2019.

    • Sakariya while growing up wanted to be a batsman but eventually diverted his
      interest to fast bowling.
    • Sakariya copied the bowling action of Pakistani bowler Junaid Khan after their tour of India in 2010.
    • He did not receive any kind of cricket coaching until the age of 16 before that he used to
      train himself playing tennis ball cricket.
    • Sakariya suffered from an injury upon his glute and a stress fracture on his back due to over-working his body and, he was out for nearly a year.
    • Sakariya made his first-class debut as a replacement player for Jaydev Unadkat in the 2018 Ranji Trophy tournament.

    • Chetan was the sixth-highest wicket-taker in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021, picking 12 wickets in 5 matches at an average of 8.17.
