Chetan Sakariya Lost his Father in the COVID19 Battle

The Rajasthan Royals’ left-arm pacer Chetan Sakariya lost his father in the battle of coronavirus. Sakariya’s father Kanjibhai was admitted to a private hospital in Bhavnagar, Gujarat while he was still in the Indian Premier League (IPL) bio-bubble.

Chetan Sakariya Lost his Father

Sakariya lost his father on Sunday, who succumbed to COVID-19.

“It pains us so much to confirm that Mr Kanjibhai Sakariya lost his battle with Covid-19 earlier today. We’re in touch with Chetan and will provide all possible support to him and his family in this difficult time,” RR wrote in a tweet.

Saurashtra Cricket Association also condoled the passing of the 23-year-old’s father as well.

Cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle too shares his condolence message via Twitter. He wrote as “Feel so much for young Chetan Sakariya who played with the most heartwarming smile you will see. Wish him strength as he mourns the passing of his father to this horrible Covid.”

Indian former cricketer Wasim Jaffer wrote as “My heart goes out to Chetan and his family. May God give them the strength to cope with this loss. Stay strong @Sakariya55”.
