    Two female umpires from India have been included in the International Panel of ICC Development Umpires. Janani Narayanan and Vrinda Rathi were on Wednesday named in the International Panel of ICC Development Umpires. A moment for the Indian women’s cricket association previously Indian women’s team made their maiden finals in the T20 women’s world cup.

    India lost the finals against Australia without scoring even 100, but received wishes from many former players for their efforts in the tournament. After that achievement it’s time for our female umpires to script some history in cricket.

    The announcement comes soon after the launch of 100% Cricket, a 12-month campaign anticipated to build on the momentum of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020.

We will work proactively with Member Boards to give female officials the pathway needed for their growth.

    “I am sure Janani and Vrinda are looking forward to their time on the panel. I wish them all the best and hope they not only perform well on assignment, but continue to develop their skillset with our support as they travel along their journey.”

    Janani, 34, who idolizes the late David Shepherd of England and retired India umpire Srinivas Venkatraghavan, has been umpiring in Indian domestic tournaments since 2018. “I’m delighted to be named in ICC’s development panel and look forward to officiating to the best of my ability. I have been a lifelong fan of cricket and worked passionately towards becoming an umpire. This opportunity gives me the chance of learning from seniors on the circuit and improve in the years to come.

    “I want to thank the BCCI for all their help and the ICC for giving me this break. I would like to thank Mr Radhakrishnan, who has been my mentor since I first started umpiring.     Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra on Tuesday reckoned that if the Indian cricket team management requires MS Dhoni, he will return to the squad with or without the 13th season of the Indian Premier League.     “IPL, I don’t think was a critical factor. If he wants to come back, he will make himself available, if the selectors decide to pick him, he will be picked automatically because you won’t get experience in supermarkets. Dhoni is a hugely experienced player. If India needs MS Dhoni, then with or without IPL, he will come back.”

    While he has remained tight-lipped about his future in international cricket, the team management and the selectors have made it clear that a good IPL performance can only bring him back to the senior team.

    “He will be back in the reckoning only if he has a good IPL. And why only him? There are so many senior and young players who will play in the IPL.     Dhoni’s last leg to make his return

    Dhoni is expected to make his way back to the competitive games through the IPL 2020. But due to coronavirus pandemic the IPL has been postponed to mid of April. BCCI also released a new update to host the tournament in July 2020.

    It looks like the BCCI finally made up its mind on going the distance to conduct the thirteenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, the BCCI has postponed the league to April 15 as a precautionary measure. Where the experts comes out with possible six ways to host if IPL starts from April 15.

    Previous the announcement IPL franchise agreed to play the match behind the closed door where they request to permit the foreign players against the visa restriction imposed by Indian Government. BCCI made the announcement after their meeting on March 14(Saturday) and hints IPL may called off if it cross it’s deadline(April 20).

    After this announcement IPL owners had a conference call on March 16 and comes out with a decision focusing the safety of the peoples. But the BCCI is in no mood to give up on its hopes of conducting the IPL and is reportedly planning to stage the tournament in July-September if things do not improve in the coming days.

    The Indian cricket board report a decision that if it can’t host the IPL in the country, it would move to a different venue. The board is also ready to host the tournament at a later date even if all the players will not be available. Thus contrary to the recent reports, the BCCI is not ready at all to cancel the IPL this year altogether.

    The report further stated that BCCI is planning to host the IPL in July-September if things do not improve in the coming days.     “The 2009 IPL – in South Africa – was played inside 37 days. That’s five weeks and two days.     There is not much international cricket during this proposed July-September window. The ICC T20 World Cup 2020 in Australia will start in the third week of October, and no dates so far are confirmed for the Asia Cup 2020 in the month of September.

    The Asia Cup in September could make things tricky for India who are also set to visit Sri Lanka in June/July for a short ODI and T20I series. The BCCI is currently planning on how to tweak the schedule.

    “In response to the ongoing coronavirus crisis, the ICC T20 World Cup 2020 Local Organising Committee is monitoring the situation closely with relevant authorities, and will continue to do so,” ICC said in a statement.

    “The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is scheduled to take place from 18 October – 15 November 2020 in seven venues across Australia. We are planning for the event to go ahead as scheduled,” the statement added.

    Previously Australia host the Women’s T20 world cup, Where hosts took the trophy by beating India in Finals on the International women’s day(March 8) at Melbourne.

    England fast bowler Jofra Archer has again faced racial abuse and this time he received it on social media platform Instagram. The bowler on Tuesday condemned the act and called upon the authorities to take proper action.

    The 24-year-old pacer posted a screenshot of the message he received on Instagram by a fan who is presumably an Indian (going by his username).Where Archer states he is not able to understand as to why someone would make such comments.

    Archer shared a screenshot of one of the messages that he received during his recent live video. “Stupid what are your doing Blacky” and “Great Blacky” were the messages received by Archer on his Instagram DM.

    “I given a lot of thought about reacting to this and I hope no one else has to deal with stuff like this on a regular basis, it isn’t ever acceptable and should be addressed properly in my opinion. I will never understand how people feel so freely to say these things to another human being it baffles me, read the Archer’s story.

    This is not the first time that Archer has been exposed to racial abuse. Last year, during a Test match against New Zealand, Archer was exposed to racial slurs from the crowd.

    As a result, New Zealand Cricket (NZC) handed the fan a two-year ban from attending international and domestic matches in the country.

    A 28-year-old man from Auckland had admitted abusing the pacer during the first Test against England after a police investigation and was issued a verbal warning for using insulting language.

    Archer, who announced his arrival in international cricket during the ICC Cricket World Cup last year, went to make his Test debut in the subsequent Ashes series at home.

    Originally from Barbados, the 24-year old right-arm fast bowler is currently recovering from a stress fracture in his elbow. For the same Archer was ruled out of IPL 2020 which has been postponed to April 15.

    “As a result of the injury, he has been ruled out of England’s Test tour of Sri Lanka and the Indian Premier League 2020 season. He will now commence an injury rehabilitation programme with the ECB medical team with a view to be ready for the international summer campaign starting in June against West Indies in a three-match Test series,” the ECB had said in a statement last month.

Birch has topped the bowling charts for them at a regular basis and even was the leading wicket-taker for the 2012-13 season in the domestic one day competition.

    His retirement comes prematurely after the One-Day Cup was cancelled ahead of the semi-finals. Cricket South Africa (CSA) announced on Monday that they have terminated the one-day domestic competition and all forms of cricket for the next 60 days. The steps were taken to help curb the coronavirus pandemic that has spread around the world.

    With the bat in hand, Cutting scored 146 runs at an average of 29.20 and a strike rate of 189.61 including one half-century against Lahore Qalandars. Having won only four out of the 10 matches that they played, defending champions Gladiators couldn’t even qualify for the semi-finals of PSL 2020.
