India Qualifies for Asian Games Men’s T20I 2023 Final: Indian Men’s kickstarted their Asian Games 2023 camp with the match against Nepal on October 3 where India handed a 23-run defeat to their opponents and became the first team to qualify for the semi-final.
In semifinal 1, India was scheduled to face Bangladesh who qualified for the match by beating Malaysia by just 2 runs.
Speaking on the game, India won the toss and elected to bowl first and cast an impressive bowling spell which forced Bangladesh to score only 96 runs for 9-wicket loss at the end of the 20 overs.
On the other hand, India too lost their opener Yashasvi Jaiswal for a duck but the skipper and Tilak Varma made a match-winning partnership and successfully chased the target in 9.2 overs.
With the victory, India sealed their spot in the grand Final and moreover will win a medal for sure. During the chase, India’s Tilak Varma scored a brilliant half-century in 25 deliveries.
The winner of semifinal 2 which is scheduled to play between Pakistan and Afghanistan today will face India in the Final game for the GOLD Medal. The final game of the tournament will be played on October 7 at Pingfeng Campus Cricket Field, Hangzhou.
The match will begin at 11:30 AM IST / 06:00 AM GMT / 02:00 PM LOCAL.
