Mohammad Yousuf is set to play the role of Pakistan cricket team’s head coach for their upcoming Afghanistan series on March 25, 2023.

A total of 3 T20Is are scheduled to play during the Afghanistan v Pakistan tournament. Notably, the three T20Is are scheduled to play in Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah – UAE.
The first match of the Afghanistan v Pakistan 2023 series will be played on March 25 while the remaining two matches are scheduled to play on March 27 and March 29.
As per a report, Mohammad Yousuf is set to replace Saqlain Mushtaq as Pakistan’s head coach for the series against Afghanistan.
Former Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Yousuf who played all three formats for the national team have received the Pride of Performance award in August 2012. Yousuf scored 1,788 runs in 2006 which is a world record for the most runs scored in a year in tests at an average of almost 100.
He made his Test debut against South Africa in Durban and One Day International debut against Zimbabwe in Harare. During his career, Mohammad Yousuf has played 90 Tests, 288 ODIs and scored 7530 and 9720 runs which include 39 centuries and 97 half-centuries.
In August 2020, former Pakistan internationals Mohammad Yousuf and Mohammad Zahid have been appointed to the High-Performance centre as batting and bowling coaches respectively. The appointment in 2020 was Yousuf’s first coaching assignment after his retirement from international cricket in 2010.
