2025 WPL Team Captains, Head Coach: The third edition of the Women’s Premier League is expected to be played during its regular window of February – March next year. The WPL 2025 will follow a Double round robin and playoff format.

WPL 2025 Squad
Ahead of the WPL 2025, as of the last season, all teams announced their retained and released players list as per the WPL rules. BCCI will shortlist the WPL 2025 auction registers players list and will release the WPL 2025 auction players list ahead of the event date.
The WPL 2025 auction is expected to take place in December this year after the IPL 2025 mega auction which is planned to be hosted as a two-day event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

WPL 2025 Format
WPL 2025 will follow the Round Robin format with a Double Round- robin and playoffs (knock-out stage). Following are the details of the WPL 2025 Format:
- All participating(5) teams will play against each other twice which will mark a total of 20 league matches.
- The topper of the WPL 2024 Points Table will directly qualify for the final.
- The eliminator match will be played between the 2nd and 3rd placed teams.
- The winner of the eliminator will qualify as the second finalist for the WPL 2024 final match.
