WPL 2024 Gujarat Giants Squad – Full List

WPL 2024 Gujarat Giants Squad: The second edition of the tournament is expected to be played during the same window as the first edition. BCCI has announced the retained and released players list for WPL 2024 teams on October 19.

A total of 60 players including 21 overseas cricketers were retained across five playing teams while 29 players were released from their existing squads. BCCI decided to host the WPL 2024 Auction on December 9 in Mumbai.

The WPL 2024 Auction live streaming will be available on Jio Cinema and Sports 18 from 2 PM IST onwards.

WPL 2024 Gujarat Giants Squad: In WPL 2023, a total of five teams played against each other in a double round-robin format, where the three teams finished with the most points entered the playoff stages of the competition.

Gujarat Giants retained a total of 8 players including 3 overseas players ahead of the WPL 2024 Auction. Gujarat Giants entered the Women’s Premier League 2024 Auction with the highest purse value of INR 5.95 crores.

Gujarat Giants in WPL 2023

WPL 2024 Gujarat Giants Squad: The Gujarat Giants team is owned by Adani Group. In the 2023 edition, Gujarat Giants managed to register just only 2 games out of the 8 group matches.

Gujarat Giants kickstarted their campaign with a couple of losses in their first 2 games against Mumbai Indians Women and UP Warriorz. Gujarat Giants registered their first victory of the season in their third game against Royal Challengers Bangalore Women.

Gujarat Giants failed to maintain their winning phase in their following games and lost another couple of games against Delhi Capitals Women and Mumbai Indians Women. Gujarat Giants registered their second victory of the season against Delhi Capitals Women in the 14th game of the tournament.

With another couple of losses in their following games, Gujarat Giants failed to make it to the top 3 of the points table and eventually kicked off from the tournament.
