WPL 2024 DC Retained Players List: A total of 60 players including 21 overseas cricketers were retained across five playing teams while 29 players were released from their existing squads.
In WPL 2023, a total of five teams played against each other in a double round-robin format, where the three teams finished with the most points entered the playoff stages of the competition.
The first season was played in March 2023 where the Mumbai Indians won the title by beating Delhi Capitals in the WPL 2023 Final.

WPL 2024 DC Retained Players List: The window for the five franchises to retain players for the TATA Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024 season came to an end on October 15, 2023.
BCCI has announced the retained and released players list for all participating teams on October 19.

Delhi Capitals in WPL 2023
WPL 2024 DC Retained Players List: The Women’s Delhi Capitals team is owned by GMR Group and JSW Group, which also owns the men’s team in the Indian Premier League.
At the inaugural tournament, Delhi Capitals qualified directly for the final after topping the group, winning six of their eight matches. However, they lost in the final to Mumbai Indians by seven wickets
The women’s Delhi Capitals team have kickstarted their 2023 campaign with a 60-run victory over the Royal Challengers Bangalore Women. The team continued their aggressiveness in their next game and defeated UP Warriorz by 42 runs.
But Delhi Capitals Women lost their next game against Mumbai Indians by 8 wickets and registered their first defeat of the tournament. But the team made a bounce back by winning their next couple of games by beating Gujarat Giants by 10 wickets and Royal Challengers Bangalore Women by 6 wickets.
As of the first set, Delhi Capitals Women registered their defeat after two consecutive victories. In the 14th game of the tournament, Gujarat Giants handed an 11-run defeat to the Delhi Capitals. Though Delhi Capitals Women won their next couple of games against Mumbai Indians Women and UP Warriorz.
The table topper of the tournament again failed to register their hat trick victory and eventually lost the Final game against Mumbai Indians Women by 7 wickets.
