U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 Squad: The first edition of the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup will be played between January 14 to January 29 in South Africa.

As per the U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 schedule, the first match will be played between Australia Women U19 and Bangladesh Women U19 at Willowmoore Park, Benoni.

U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 Group: Eleven Full-Member nations gained automatic entry to the inaugural edition of the U19 Women’s T20 World Cup, namely: Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies and Zimbabwe.

The remaining five spots were filled by one team from each of the ICC’s five regions, through regional Qualifier tournaments. The 16 teams have named their squads for the tournament that begins from January 14.

Indonesia and Rwanda are the two first-time participants in an ICC World Cup event.

While Indonesia beat Papua New Guinea to win the East Asia-Pacific group in July, Rwanda became the final team to qualify for the event after beating Tanzania on Monday, 12 September.

U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 Format

Following are the details of the U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 Format:

  • The 16 teams are divided into four groups of four and play each other side in their group once.
  • The top three in each group progress to the Super Six League stage.
  • Where qualifying teams from Group A will play against two of the qualifying teams from Group D, and qualifying teams from Group B will play against two of the qualifying teams from Group C.
  • The top two sides from each of the Super Six Leagues will progress to the semi-finals, with the final taking place on 29 January 2023
