T20 World Cup 2021 Updates and News – India is the official hosting country of the ICC T20 WC 2021 but owing to the rapid spread of COVID19 in India BCCI moves the tournament to UAE. Notably, BCCI hosts the IPL 2020 and part of IPL 2021 in the UAE.

- The ICC from the T20 World Cup will use ‘batter‘ instead of ‘batsman‘ in its playing conditions.
- DRS will be used for the very first time in an edition of the T20 World Cup this time.
- The ICC has tweaked the rules for the Semi-Finals and Finals of the T20 World Cup. A team has to play a minimum of 10 overs instead of 5 overs to generate a result.
- Mahela Jayawardena will be with the Sri Lanka team nearly for 2 weeks during the T20 World Cup 2021.
- ICC announced the Prize Money of T20 World Cup 2021. According to which the winner of the ICC T20 WC 2021 will bag Rs. 12 crores.
