South Africa is scheduled to play in the 20th match of the ICC World Cup 2023 against England on October 21 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Winning the toss, England chose to bowl where de Kock and Reeza Hendricks opened the innings while Topley opened the bowling attack.

With Miller’s dismissal for 5 runs by Topley, Marco Jansen scored 75* on 42 deliveries including three boundaries and 6 sixes. By the end of 50 overs, South Africa scored 399 runs losing seven wickets.
South Africa set up a huge score as Australia failed to fold them for low scores. With the target of 400, Jonny Bairstow and Dawid Malan opened the innings for England while Lungi Ngidi opened the bowling attack. The openers failed to create an impression as they were sent out with low figures. Other batters were sent out with low figures at regular intervals. On the 17th over, England lost eight wickets scoring only 100 runs.
