The England cricketer Dawid Malan had an impressive innings where he scored 140 runs in the match against Bangladesh.

England is scheduled to play in the 7th match of the World Cup 2023 against Bangladesh on October 10, at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium where the defending champions won the match by 137 runs.
Dawid Malan had an outstanding innings helping the side to set a huge score against Bangladesh. Winning the toss, Bangladesh chose to bowl. Jonny Bairstow and Dawid Malan opened the innings while Mustafizur opened the bowling attack.
The openers had an impressive innings as Bairstow scored 52 runs on 59 deliveries and was dismissed by Shakib. Dawid Malan scored 140 runs on 107 deliveries and was sent out by Mahedi Hasan.
Joe Root scored 82 runs on 68 deliveries and Jos Buttler scored 20 runs and was sent out by Shoriful Islam. Other batters were sent out at regular intervals. Mahedi Hasan dismissed four wickets, while Shoriful Islam dismissed three wickets. Shakib and Taskin Ahmed dismissed one wicket each. By the end of innings, England scored 364 runs losing all 9 wickets.
With the target of 365 runs, Litton Das and Tanzid Hasan opened the innings, while Chris Woakes opened the bowling attack. Litton Das had a good start as he scored 76 runs on 66 deliveries and was sent out by Chris Woakes.
On the other hand, Tanzid Hasan was sent out with 1 run. Reece Topley was impressive with intense bowling attacks as he dismissed top-order batters Tanzid Hasan, Najmul Hossain, and Shakib Al Hasan within 6 overs.
With the dismissal of Shakib, Bangladesh was down to 3 wickets scoring 26 runs only. After Mehidy Hasan’s dismissal with 8 runs by Chris Woakes, Mushfiqur scored 51 runs on 64 deliveries and was dismissed by Topley.
Towhid Hridoy scored 39 runs while Mahedi Hasan scored 14 runs and was dismissed by Adil Rashid. Taskin Ahmed and Shoriful Islam scored 15 and 12 runs respectively.
By the end, Bangladesh was folded for 227 runs losing all 10 wickets on the 49th over of the innings. Dawid Malan was awarded with the player of the innings.
While speaking to the media he said, “It’s nice to contribute, be a long journey to try and get to this stage, so to get here is fantastic, and then to put in a performance to win a game is great as well, I don’t know what it is down to, hopefully, it will continue (talking about his incredible form this year).
Sometimes I play good shots and sometimes I play bad shots and that’s cricket (talking about the criticism), it’s always about trying to cash in against some type of bowling which is yours on the day.
When you got Root at three who is so consistent, it allows us to play a bit freely. I’m desperate to do well in this format, desperate to win games of cricket and prove a point and prove people wrong. So, when I get in, I don’t like to give it away,” Malan Concluded.
England will be playing their next match against Afghanistan on October 15 at Arun Jaitley Stadium .
