U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025 Format: As per the U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025 Schedule, the first match will be played between Australia and Scotland on January 18 in the UKM YSD Oval. A total of 41 matches will be played between 16 participating teams.
U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025 Format
The second edition of the ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup is scheduled to be played between 18 January and 2 February 2025 in Malaysia. Following are the complete U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025 Format details.
- The participating 16 teams will be divided into four groups of four teams where the teams will play once against each other side in their group.
- The top three teams in each group will progress to the Super Six League stage where qualifying teams from Group A will play against two of the qualifying teams from Group D, and qualifying teams from Group B will play against two of the qualifying teams from Group C.
- Points from matches against teams that also qualified from the first group stage will carried forward into the Super Six League stage.
- The top two sides from each of the Super Six Leagues will progress to the semi-finals, with the final taking place on 2 February 2025.
U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025 Group
The top 10 full-member teams of the 2023 Under-19 World Cup secure direct qualification. Samoa became the first team to qualify from regional pathway, after winning the East Asia-Pacific Qualifier.
For the second time in a row, the USA received automatic qualification for the World Cup as they were still the only team in the region to fulfil the criteria required to enter the qualification pathway. The tournament will be played in T20 format.
The participating 16 teams have been grouped into four teams of four groups.
- Group A: India, West Indies, Sri Lanka, Malaysia
- Group B: England, Pakistan, Ireland, USA
- Group C: New Zealand, South Africa, Africa Qualifier, Samoa
- Group D: Australia, Bangladesh, Asia Qualifier, Scotland
