Birmingham Phoenix vs London Spirit Highlights
London Spirit Batting
Zak Crawley and Josh Inglis get into the crease to lead London Spirit in their first game of the grand The Hundred tournament.
Adam Milne opens the bowling attack on behalf of the Birmingham Phoenix. Both the openers make a slow start in the first innings. Usually, openers tend to make aggressive starting, especially during the shorter format matches.
That too with 100 balls per innings London Spirit openers failed to impress their fans with an impressive start. But soon after Josh Inglis’s dismissal Daniel Lawrence and Zak Crawley start to attack with their bat.
Opening batsman Zak Crawley makes a long stand and scored 144 runs for 6 wickets loss at the end of the 100 balls. Zak Crawley scored 64 runs off 40 deliveries and registered the maiden half-century of the men’s 2021 The Hundred.
Birmingham Phoenix Batting
Finn Allen and Miles Hammond gets into the crease to lead the Birmingham Phoenix to chase down the target of 145 runs.
As of London Spirit, Birmingham Phoenix too makes a slow start and tries to make a perfect opening partnership. But soon failed as Chris Wood dismissed Miles Hammond for 5 runs.
On the counterpart of Birmingham Phoenix, skipper Moeen Ali scores the highest of the team(40 runs off 30 deliveries). Ali led Birmingham Phoenix chased the target of 145 runs with three balls remaining and registers their first victory.

Player of the Match
It was nice to score runs. I am pleased with how I played. It wasn’t easy to start and we didn’t get as many as we should’ve in the back-end. It was lovely playing in front of the crowd. All are bowlers bowled really well but their batters applied themselves well. I try and enjoy every game.
