Player of match
Philip Salt | Manchester Originals
Was a good wicket and both sides played well. Came down to who held their nerve at the end. Good game of cricket I reckon. At the halfway stage you always know what you have done well or not when you bat first.
Credit to the bowlers for assessing that well but there are areas where we could have done slightly better tonight. I was talking to Halesey before the game and a lot of top-order batters have been struggling this year in this comp.
It was nice to get a few. Great competition and I do enjoy playing against my mates. Tournament play is about peaking at the right time I suppose. We had a funny start with all the rained-out games but every side will be looking to hit their strides at this stage.
The only difference to last year at this stage is we have Jos this year and we did not have him last year.
