India Tour of South Africa 2024 mark the second straight year of the Indian men’s team touring South Africa after playing all three formats in 2023-24. South Africa’s last series win against India dates way back to 2015.
Speaking of the South Africa squad, Mihlali Mpongwana has received his maiden call-up after executing an impressive performance in this season’s CSA T20 Challenge with 12 wickets at an average of 14.08.
Kagiso Rabada has been rested for the series, whereas Lungi Ngidi was not considered as he continues to prepare towards the home Test series against Sri Lanka in November.
Notably, Cricket South Africa has included Lutho Sipamla only for the third and fourth T20I matches.
On the other hand, BCCI have named many youngsters in their T20I squad for the South Africa series including Abhishek Sharma, Jitesh Sharma, Ravi Bishnoi, and Rinku Singh.
