Afghanistan Tour Of Sri Lanka 2022: Afghanistan cricket team is scheduled to tour Sri Lanka to play 3 ODI matches in November later this year. All 3 ODI matches will be a part of the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League 2023.
ACB Chairman Mirwais Ashraf: “We are pleased with the outcomes of our discussions and negotiations with Sri Lanka Cricket on shifting the schedule to November this year. We are looking forward to playing Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka, which is a heavy task but a challenge that I know our players will embrace”.
Afghanistan Tour Of Sri Lanka 2022 Schedule
Three matches of the Afghanistan Tour Of Sri Lanka 2022 will be played at PKICS, Kandy. The tour, which was initially scheduled to be played in February 2023, was shifted to the new schedule as the international cricket calendars of the two nations enabled the change.
Afghanistan has played 12 matches in ICC Cricket World Cup Super League and won 10 matches and currently holds 7th place in the table. Both teams have played 4 matches so far whereas Sri Lanka has won 3 matches while Afghanistan has won one match.
