It’s been a long frustrating campaign. Pity it’s too late. I’ve been there before, so I know exactly what to do. But it’s part of the game. I’ve been hitting the ball nicely. Been doing all the right things. My process has been the same.
Was finding ways of getting out. Just part of the game. I still had the confidence that I was hitting the ball well. We just said we’ll take it on like a one-day game. Just make sure the strike rotation is good. He’s such a calm head. The way he’s not fussed about how it looks. It’s an attribute every youngster needs to look up to – find ways to score runs.
