The much-awaited SA20 2025 Auction has been scheduled to take place on 1 October 2024 in Cape Town. The third edition of the SA20 2025 will be played between 9 January and 8 February in South Africa.
During the 2025 SA20 league, a total of 34 matches will be played between the six participating teams. Ahead of the auction, teams have announced their retained and released players list.
SA20 2025 Auction Date
The auction for the third edition of the SA20 league will be held on 1 October 2024 in Cape Town where a total of eight teams will participate with 13 slots left to be filled, along with the six Rookie selections.

SA20 2025 Auction Rules
- Each team of the SA20 league will consist of a maximum of 19 players.
- A team should have a minimum of ten South African players.
- A team should have a maximum of seven overseas players.
- The 19-member squad must contain a wild card pick and one rookie(to be drafted at the auction).
