Ranji Trophy 2022 Schedule Squad: The Ranji Trophy is a domestic first-class cricket championship played in India between multiple teams representing regional and state cricket associations.
The competition currently consists of 38 teams, with all 28 states in India and four of the eight union territories having at least one representation. The competition is named after the first Indian cricketer who played international cricket, Ranjitsinhji, who was also known as ‘Ranji’.
The first match of the competition was held on 4 November 1934 between Madras and Mysore at the Chepauk ground in Madras.

The winners of each Elite Group will progress directly to the quarter-finals, with the second-placed teams and the winner of the Plate Group playing in pre-quarters matches to determine the final eight teams.

Ranji Trophy 2022 Schedule
Ranji Trophy 2022 Schedule Squad: Originally, the tournament was scheduled to start on 16 November 2021, but was later postponed.
Ranji Trophy is all set to get underway from February 17 with as many as 38 teams participating in the event.
The pre-IPL phase consists of league matches and one pre-quarter-final. It will be played be concluded on March 15 while the board is yet to make a decision on the schedule of the post IPL phase.
