PSL 2024 Retained Players List for All Teams

PSL 2024 Retained Players List: Ahead of the much-awaited PCL 2024 draft, all 6 teams have announced their retained players list for the season.

A total of 485 players from 22 nations have registered for the PSL 2024 Draft. Among the registered players, 46 are in the Platinum category while 76 players have listed under the Diamond category.

The HBL Pakistan Super League Player Draft 2024 will take place at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore on Wednesday, 13 December 2023.

PSL 2024 Retained Players List

PSL 2024 Retained Players List: Each franchise was allotted a maximum of eight retentions. Barring Multan Sultans – who retained seven players – all franchises made full use of their retentions.

Lahore Qalandars

PSL 2024 Retained Players List: Lahore Qalandars have retained their captain, Shaheen Shah Afridi in the Platinum category. In the Diamond category, Haris Rauf has been named the team’s brand ambassador.

Sikandar Raza has been retained in the Gold category while Rashid Khan has been retained in Silver, though he may miss the tournament due to injury. Mirza Tahir Baig, after a successful relegation request, has been retained in Silver.

Islamabad United

PSL 2024 Retained Players List: Islamabad United have retained Shadab Khan, alongside their successful trade Naseem Shah in the Platinum category.

Diamond-category Imad Wasim, who moved to Islamabad United from Karachi Kings, has been named the team’s Mentor, while Gold-category Faheeem Ashraf has been appointed the Brand Ambassador. Rumman Raees has been retained in Silver after a successful relegation request.

Multan Sultans

PSL 2024 Retained Players List: Multan Sultans have retained their captain Mohammad Rizwan in the Platinum category. Iftikhar Ahmed, after a successful trade with Quetta Gladiators, is Multan’s other Platinum player.

Ihsanullah has been appointed the side’s Brand Ambassador and has been retained in the Silver category. Faisal Akram, after a successful trade with Karachi Kings, has been retained in the Emerging category.

Karachi Kings 

PSL 2024 Retained Players List: Karachi Kings retained Shan Masood and Shoaib Malik in the Gold category. Shan Masood was traded for left-arm wrist-spinner Faisal Akram, ahead of the end of the trade window.

Shan has also been named the Brand Ambassador while Malik has been appointed team Mentor. Mir Hamza has been retained in the Silver category, after a successful relegation request.

Quetta Gladiators

PSL 2024 Retained Players List: Quetta Gladiators have retained Rilee Rossouw in the Platinum category while Wanindu Hasaranga retained in the Diamond category.

Mohammad Wasim Jnr and Abrar Ahmed, after a successful trade, have been retained in Diamond and Gold respectively. Jason Roy has been retained in Diamond. Sarfaraz Ahmed has been appointed Quetta Gladiator’s Brand Ambassador and is retained in the Gold category.

Peshawar Zalmi 

PSL 2024 Retained Players List: Babar Azam, the most successful batter in HBL PSL history and currently ranked No.4 in the ICC T20I rankings, has been retained in Platinum by Peshawar Zalmi alongside West Indies power-hitter Rovman Powell. Mohammad Haris has been retained in the Gold category and has been named the Brand Ambassador as well.
