The England Domestic One-Day Cup is the latest limited-over competition in county Cricket sponsored by Royal London and Metro Bank.
After the predecessors, The John Player League (second One-Day Competition), National League and ECB 40, the One Day Cup is now played in a 50-over format with 18 Counties playing the tournament in a round-robin format to determine the teams qualified for knock-out stages.
Since 2014, the tournament has been called by various names such as Royal London One-Day Cup until the 2022 season and it was renamed as Metro Bank One-Day Cup in the 2023 season due to sponsorship reasons.
