The Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has been named as the ICC Player of the Month in February for his heroic deeds during the test series in England’s tour of India 2024.

The 22-year-old Yashasvi Jaiswal has bagged his first ICC Player of the Month award for his sensational performance in the Test series against England.
He was announced as the winner for the February month where he beat New Zealand’s Kane Williamson and Sri Lanka’s Pathum Nissanka for the award.
After being named the player of the month, Yashasvi Jaiswal said that he was honored by the award, and hopes that he can bag a few more ICC awards in the future.
“I’m really happy to achieve the ICC award and I hope I will be getting more in the future,” said Jaiswal. “It’s one of the best and this is my first five-match series.”

Yashasvi Jaiswal was named as the player of the series in the home tour against England. He amassed 712 runs in 5 tests surpassing Virat Kohli’s record for most runs in a single test series vs England.
He also became the second Indian batter after Sunil Gavaskar to hit 700+ runs in a series.
“I really enjoyed it, the way I have played and the way it’s been and we won the series by 4-1. It’s been an incredible experience with all my mates and I really enjoyed it,” Jaiswal told ICC.
Jaiswal scored two double-hundreds in the series. Jaiswal also spoke about his unbeaten 214 runs in Rajkot, “I think when I celebrated my double century in Rajkot, I think that was something which I really enjoyed and felt it. And I was, I was living,” he added.
Yashasvi Jaiswal will be focussing on the Indian Premier League where he plays for Rajasthan Royals. The 17th edition of the Indian Premier League is set to commence on March 22 with Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore playing in the first match of the IPL 2024 schedule.
Rajasthan Royals will be playing their first match of the upcoming tournament against Lucknow Super Giants on March 24 at Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium.
