The 23-year-old Yashasvi Jaiswal has received maiden call-up for the three-match ODI series in England’s tour of India 2025 which is set to start on February 06.
Jaiswal who had an impressive outing in the red-ball cricket for India last year, is set to make his debut during the ODI series against England.
Meanwhile, Bumrah’s participation in the home tour remains uncertain due to the back injury and Harshit Rana has been brought in as his backup.
However, the ace pacer has been included in the 15-member squad for the Champions Trophy announced by chief selector Ajit Agarkar in Mumbai on January 18.
Rohit Sharma will be leading the side while Shubman Gill has been named as his deputy. Mohammed Shami who played his last ODI for India during the ODI World Cup 2023, has also been included in the squad, but power hitters Karun Nair and Sanju Samson has been excluded from the squad.
The batting lineup is boasted with the likes of Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant and Yashasvi Jaiswal.
Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar and Ravindra Jadeja will bring balance to the squad with their all-rounder skills.
The ODI series will begins after the completion of the five match T20I series.
