The Indian former head coach Rahul Dravid has praised the young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal who smashed a stunning 161 knock in the second innings of the first test in the Border Gavaskar Trophy.
Yashasvi Jaiswal‘s peak performance year continues and Rahul Dravid feels that the youngster will get better from here.
Despite being dismissed for a duck in the first innings, he came back strongly to give a solid start for India.
Dravid was India’s head coach when Jaiswal made his international debut in the first test against West Indies where he smashed he 171 runs off 387 balls in the match forging a 229 runs opening partnership with captain Rohit Sharma and a 110 run partnership with Virat Kohli.
Dravid stepped down as India’s head coach after leading the team to the T20 World Cup triumph. However, he will continue to travel with the players as he is the head coach of Rajasthan Royals where Jaiswal plays.
