Change in Last 2 T20Is Venue
During the India tour of the West Indies 2022, both teams are scheduled to play 3 ODI matches and 5 T20I matches whereas the last two T20I matches are scheduled to play in Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground, Lauderhill, Florida(USA).
According to a report, members of both teams have not yet received their US visas as yet which directly forces West Indies to host the two matches in the Caribbean.
“Having the games in the Caribbean is not unlikely but efforts are being made to resolve the visa issue,” a source in West Indies cricket was quoted as saying by the website.
“The initial information was that the players would be handed the US travel documents in St Kitts where the teams have arrived. But there’s a chance that the players may have to travel back to Trinidad for the visa documents and from there to the US if they obtain the all-clear.” The CWI also confirmed the uncertainty over the Florida games.
“There are options being explored while we continue to pursue the possibilities of receiving the outstanding visas,” CWI president Ricky Skerritt told the website.
India who leads the 5 matches T20I series by winning the first match by 68 runs will play consecutive matches on August 1 and 2 while the last matches will be played on August 5 and 7.
