After winning the first match of the Bangladesh tour of West Indies 2024, the West Indies has moved a spot in the WTC points table.
Despite being bowled out for 150 runs, West Indies managed to secure a 201-run victory against Bangladesh. Taskin Ahmed’s career-best bowling figures of 6/64 destroyed the Windies batting lineup.
Alick Athanaze’s 42 and contributions from Kraigg Brathwaite, Joshua Da Little and Alzarri Joseph helped extend the lead and sealed the victoy for the West Indies.

Bangladesh faced a challenging target of 334 runs in their second innings. With starting their innings, Zakir Hasan and Mahmudul Hasan Joy, falling early to Kemar Roach and Jayden Seales, respectively.
Roach continued to haunt down bangladeshi batters dismissing Shahadat Hossain with a brilliant inswinger.
The West Indies bowlers continue to show dominant performance, exposing Bangladesh’s fragile batting.
West Indies victory has been powered by Mikyle Louis, Alick Athanaze and Justin Greaves knocks in the first innings which powered West Indies to smash 450 runs before declaring the innings.
