The second Test of the WI tour 2023 concluded with a tie in the port of Spain making India to crown the Test series victory after the final day of the match was called off due to rain.

Former Indian player Wasim Jaffer was not happy over the Pitch they played 2nd test of the West Indies tour 2023. He expressed his disbelief over the pitch by posting a meme. The pitch of Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain, Trinidad was criticized by fans due to its slow and flat nature.

India batted for 128 overs in the first innings and was all out for 428. West Indies made 228/5 till on Day 3 after playing for 108 overs without much trouble. The bowlers from both sides are struggling hard to bowl on the flat surface until this point.

Jaffer posted a meme on Twitter with a trademark in the pitch. He compared the Trinidad stadium with Internet Explorer, using the American Office TV series.

In the photo, it was written: “Corporate needs you to find the differences between this picture and this picture”. In the same photo, it was also written: “They’re the same picture”

Along with the photo, Jaffer wrote the caption: “This pitch is the Internet Explorer of cricket pitches #Slow #WIvIND”.

“The way the wicket is behaving, Ashwin, I feel, will run through the West Indies batting… the ball is turning,” said Siraj at the end of the day’s play after India declared their innings at 181/2 and then got rid of the dangerous West Indies skipper Kraigg Brathwaite and Kirk McKenzie to leave the hosts in a spot of bother.

Siraj also disclosed that it was India’s strategy to bat aggressively in the second innings and set a big target quickly for the home side. India batters, especially, Ishan Kishan played like short format cricket scoring up 52 off just 34 balls.

Rohit Sharma praised Mohammed Siraj over his performance in the 2nd West Indies in the absence of senior Pacers.

He was awarded the player of the match in the traditional five days test after grabbing 5 wickets for 60 runs against the West Indies in the second Test. The rain washed out on the final day at Queen’s Park Oval. On imposing a target of 365, West Indies were 76/2 on the fourth day of the match.

Dinesh Karthik was disappointed by West Indies’ defensive batting approach in the first innings of the second Test against India. He slammed their thought process as they were scoring runs at a run rate of around two throughout the day.

He said, “What were they thinking? India played close to 128 overs to get their score at a run rate of 3.50. West Indies, on the other hand, lost the first game, and it is a two-match series.

If they want to make an impact in this Test series, the only chance for them to do is by levelling the series. But they had a run rate of 2.00 and 2.10. What were they thinking? That is what disappointed me the most about the day.”

“Walking into a Test match thinking, “It is okay for me to draw”, then I think there is a problem there. I don’t want to lose is a rather negative attitude, Dinesh Karthik said.
