Royal Challengers Bengaluru were left in joy after beating Chennai Super Kings in a do-or-die game on May 18 in M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. With the victory, RCB qualified for the IPL 2024 playoffs while the five-time champions were knocked out of the race.
Following the victory, RCB players and fans started an uncontrollable celebration in and out of the Chinnaswamy stadium. The celebration was also reflected inside the RCB’s dressing room.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru shared their dressing environment following the victory against CSK on their social media profiles.
In a video, Chris Gayle who played RCB in previous seasons made a surprise entry into the RCB dressing room in RCB jersey. Apart from many other players, it’s Virat Kohli who jumps into joy on seeing his former teammate.
During the conversation, Virat Kohli jokingly asked Chris Gayle to make a comeback to the IPL and highlighted he could make use of the “Impact Player” rule.
“Kaka, Comeback next year, Impact player is on now. You don’t have to field anymore, it’s designed for you (smiles)”, says Virat Kohli to Chris Gayle.

With the victory, RCB has advanced to the IPL 2024 playoffs. Royal Challengers Bengaluru will face Rajasthan Royals to play the Eliminator game of the season on May 22 in Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
The winner of the game will advance to Qualifier 2 while the loser of the match will be eliminated from the tournament.
