India’s star batter Virat Kohli lost his coolness at an Australian reporter after arriving in Melbourne to play in the fourth test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy.
It was stated that Kohli thought his family was being filmed by the media which led him involved in a heated argument with media persons at the airport.
The former India captain has cleared that the media cannot film him for his family without his consent. Kohli was not happy after spotting video cameras pointed towards his children.
“It was upon seeing the waiting cameras that Kohli became a little heated over what is largely a misunderstanding when he thought the media was filming him with his children,” said a report.
“With my kids I need some privacy, you just can’t film without asking me,” Virat said to make his stance clear.
Later on, the report claimed that the journalist and cameraperson told Kohli that they were not filming him with his family members. Later he walked off shaking hands with consent media person.
The star cricketer and his family did not travel with the rest of the team from Brisbane to Melbourne. The former captain accompanied his family during the trip ahead of the fourth test, starting December 26 in Melbourne.
Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah have been travelling seperately with their families between cities in Australia.Both shared a chartered plane from Adelaide to Brisbane ahead of the third test which ended on Wednesday.
Virat Kohli’s performance have been seeing dip in past few years in the much talked about Test series. Kohli hit a hundred in the second innings of the series in Perth, but managed to score only 126 runs in six innings at an average of 30.
Kohli has been struggling to cover up his outside off-stump weakness, which has been nightmare for the star batter so far in Australian tests. After the third test resulted in a draw.
Levelling the series 1-1, The 36 year old will be looking bounce back from his woes and deliver in the evenly-contest Test series. The fourth match of the Australia-India tests will begin on December 26 at Melbourne Cricket Ground.
