    Vinod Kambli Admitted to Thane Hospital due to Critical Condition

    Former cricketer Vinod Kambli has been hospitalised after his health suddenly deteriorated and was admitted to Pragati Hospital in Thane.

    Recently he was seen in the video of Indian Cricketer Vinod Kambli with Sachin Tendulkar went viral in which he asked Sachin to sit with him.

    Both old friends met at an event organized for coach Ramakant Achrekar. After Kambli’s video with Tendulkar went viral, the former ODI World Cup 1983 title for India came forward to help him financially.

    Kapil Dev and others were ready to help him to recover from alcohol by rehab and Kambli accepted the offer and was ready to go into rehab once more.

    On this occasion, Vinod Kambli’s health has been admitted to Pragati Hospital in Thane and a team of doctors is taking care of him and all the necessary tests are being done.

    Vinod Kambli has had issues with his health over the years, he suffered a heart attack in 2013 despite undergoing angioplasty the year before to clear two blocked arteries.

    Vinod Kambli made his ODI debut for the Indian team in 1991 and made his test debut in 1993. Initially, he had performed well for Team India. He was the fastest batsman to score 1000 Test runs for India.

    Kambli has scored a total of 1084 runs in 17 test matches for the Indian team which includes 4 centuries and three half-centuries.

    Kambli first grabbed the limelight when he along with Sachin Tendulkar put on a record of 664-run stand in Harris Shield match in Mumbai in 1988.

    Apart from this, he has scored 2477 runs in 104 ODI matches for team India, which includes two centuries and 14 half-centuries. He announced his retirement from first-class cricket on 22 September 2011.

    His performance was very poor in the 2000s and due to this, he was out of Team India. He played his last ODI match for team India against Sri Lanka in the year 2000.
