Kolkata Knight Rider Bowlers created havoc in Delhi Capitals’ batting lineup during the 47th match of the IPL 2024 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
Varun Chakravarthy has been impressive during the match bagging three wickets in his quota at good economy. Other bowlers Harshit Rana and Vaibhav Arora bagged two wickets each helping the side to collapse the DC’s entire batting line-up.
During the previous encounter, KKR won the match after securing victory by 106 runs difference. After scoring 272/7, Kolkata bundled Delhi for 166 runs.

Coming to the match, Delhi Capitals won the toss and opted to bat where Prithvi Shaw and Jake Fraser-McGurk opened the innings. Prithvi Shaw and Jake Fraser were sent out after scoring 13 and 12 runs respectively.
After their dismissal, Abhishek Porel came to the crease and scored 18 runs on 15 deliveries. Arora dismissed Prithvi Shaw and Shai Hope while Jake Fraser was dismissed by Mitchell Starc.
With Abhishek Porel’s wicket, Delhi Capitals was down to four scoring 68 runs in the seventh over. Rishabh Pant helped the side with his 27 runs while Axar Patel scored 15 runs.
After Chakravarthy bagged the wickets of Tristan Stubbs and Kumar Kushagra Kuldeep Yadav scored 35 runs on 26 deliveries helping the side to recover from back-to-back wickets.
Finally, Delhi Capitals scored 153 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs. With the target of 154 runs, Philip Salt and Sunil Narine opened for KKR where they scored 23 runs in the first over.
Sunil Narine was sent out with 15 runs by Axar Patel on the 7th over of their innings while Philip Salt went past fifty targeting a quick victory in the match.
After Narine’s dismissal, Rinku Singh came to bat where Axar bagged the wicket of Philip Salt for 68 runs. Williams bagged the wicket of Rinku Singh for 11 runs.
Shreyas and Venkatesh Iyer took the lead and scored 33* and 26* runs helping the side to score 157 runs in the 17th overs and win the match by seven-wicket difference.
